Alliance with PDP is for development: BJP

KATRA: Addressing training workshop session of party MLAs and MLCs at Katra, BJP National General Secretary (Org.) Ram Lal said “we have entered into alliance with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir for development and welfare of the people and the State”.
Ram Lal, inaugurated this training workshop at Katra along with Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, Ministers including Chander Prakash Ganga, Sunil Sharma, Priya Sethi, MLC Ashok Khajuria, State Secretary Munish Sharma and other elected representatives.
Ram Lal said that winning 25 seats in Jammu province was the mandate to form the government and we went into alliance with PDP to honour the will of the people. We are not power hungry but this alliance has been established for development, he said.
Ram Lal expressed hope that the elected representatives will justify the mandate of the people by mitigating their problems and sufferings.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, said that ours is neither ideological nor political alliance with PDP but it is an alliance for good governance and development.
The Coalition Government is running on the Agenda of Alliance and we all are working in unison for achieving this goal enshrined in the CMP.
State General Secretary (Org.) briefed about the progress made so far and the future course of action related to Maha Sampark Abhiyaan at District and Booth levels to be undertaken in the month of May.
Earlier, in the morning, BJP State Spokersperson Farooq Khan (Retd. IGP) initiated first session by speaking on functions of legislatures, their duties and dealings and also held interaction with the MLAs and MLCs.
The second session titled “Present Political Scenario of Jammu and Kashmir” was taken by Dr. Nirmal Singh and the MLAs and the MLCs also presented their view points on the subject.
This workshop is being attended by all the MLAs and MLCs and the MPs could not attend the same on first day due to the Parliament session.
