AKHNOOR: Alleging negligence in woman’s death, villagers and family members of deceased ransacked hospital and staged protest against the doctors on Wednesday.
As per the reports, Kamlesh Kumari wife of Tilak Raj resident of village Kot Garhi, Teshil Akhnoor was admitted in Akhnoor Hospital for delivery. She was operated (surgery) in the morning and dilevered the baby. While at evening about 7: 30 PM she died. Irked over her death, her family members, relatives and villagers ransacked the hospital and staged protest against the doctors.
On receiving the information, SHO Pushpinder Singh along with police party rushed to the spot and pacified the protesters.
As per the hospital authorities, the reason of death was stated to be cardiac arrest.
