JAMMU: The students and staff of Alexander Memorial School celebrated Christmas in the school premises with gaiety.
The whole campus was tastefully decorated with buntings, X’mas Tree, Symbolic Star and Santa-Clauses etc befitting the great religious festival, symbolic of the Birth of Lord Jesus Christ more than 2000 years ago.
Rev. Udai Singh, Priest-in-charge of St. Paul’s Church Jammu, Johnny William, S.M Gill, Victor and Dolly Victor and several other dignitaries were present.
The Principal, Esther William, received the guests and delivered the welcome address. The function started with a prayer and message of love and peace by Rev. Udai Singh.
The tiny tots staged a small skit depicting scenes from the nativity play. The campus was looking festive with little Santa-Clauses and angels. The school choir presented Christmas Carols: ‘Joy to the World’, We Three Kings’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ in their melodious voice which left the audience spellbound and made them feel agog with joy.
The programme was followed by Christmas party for the whole Alexian family including the students who were buoyed up and in a joyous mood.
