JAMMU: In order to create awareness among the migrant labourers about their rights under various labourer laws and about various social security benefits available under scheme like Pardhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojna, E-shram, JKBOCWWB etc, an awareness camp was organised for the Brick Kiln workers of M/s Jai Ganga Brick Kiln, Akhnoor Road, here on Monday.
The workers were made aware about their rights under various labour registrations, non employment of children/ adolescents in hazardous occupations, bonded labour etc.
They were also made aware about social security schemes and were encouraged to enroll themselves under various schemes and take maximum benefit of the same.
Deputy Labour Commissioner Jammu Veenakshi Koul, Sapna, Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Jammu, Shivika Sharma Labour Officer, Prosecution, deliberated on the schemes and labour registration.
