New Delhi, Nov 28 (PTI) India’s Alankrita Sahai gave a major boost to her Miss Earth 2014 run by winning several sub-titles including best evening gown and best casual wear.
The 22-year-old student from Delhi is currently in Philippines representing India at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant.
Alankrita bagged top spot at the Evening Gown contest where she donned designer Gaurav Gupta’s creation.
She also took away the titles of Miss Casual Wear sporting a dress by Jatin Varma and the title of Miss Pagudpude in which she wore a creation by Falguni & Shane Peacock.
Alankrita’s garment during the National costume round, designed by Melvyn Noronha, was themed around Kamasutra and Ayurveda and it won her a bronze.
She bagged a bronze in the Swimsuit round along with a silver for the Miss Photogenic contest. She has also made it to the top 10 of Eco beauty competition.
The finale of the Miss Earth 2014 contest will take place tomorrow.
