SRINAGAR: Welcoming the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raids on some separatist politicians and tainted businessmen, All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) demanded similar raids on the houses of so called mainstream politicians too who have been looting Indian treasuries for the past seven decades in the name of Kashmir and development.
In an emergency Executive Members meeting at Srinagar on Monday, AJKPC leaders expressed their shock over the revelations made by NIA that these so called separatist leaders have collected hundreds of crores of rupees from various agencies and channels in the name of Kashmir struggle and with this money they made the fortunes of their kiths and kins and sacrificed the lives of poor Kashmiris and their nears and dears.
However, the Panchayat Conference leaders said that such raids should not be confined to the separatist leaders alone and should be extended to the so called mainstream politicians too who have been looting Indian state for the past seventy years in the name of Kashmir and Kashmiris .
Chairman AJKPC, Shafiq Mir said that the separatist leaders looted Pakistan and other Gulf countries in the name of ‘Jihad’ and Azaadi while the pro- India politicians did same in the name of Kashmir and Kashmiris.
Mir said that though the raids on properties of separatist leaders is a welcome step but at the same time Government of India should also investigate lakhs of crores sent by Central Government for Kashmir in the past seven decades and see where that money has gone.
