JAMMU: The Educational Technology Wing of the State Institute of Education (SIE) Jammu organised Divisional Level Painting Competition on Saturday.
In all, 38 students from various districts of Jammu Division participated in the painting competition who were selected from the District Level Competitions organised in their respective districts.
The painting competition was inaugurated by H.R Pakhroo, Joint Director (Trainings) who stressed on the importance of organising such programmes as these competitions inculcate creativity and help the students to express their thoughts by way of painting.
The competition was coordinated by Rajinder Kumar RO and Veena Devi, Master while Kailash Kumari, Master and Akash Khajuria, Teacher of ET Cell, SIE Jammu acted as Associate Coordinators.
The first prize in the painting competition was bagged by Ajay Singh from DAV Collegiate Kathua, second went to Mintu Kumar, GHSS Jakhbar Kathua and third prize went to Pankaj Kumar of GHSS Purmandal.
Pushpanjali of GHS (B) Bari Brahmana, Ram Kumari of GHSS Samba, Radhika of G(G) HS Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Alisha Bharti of HSS Shiva Doda and Vishal Singh of HSS Majalta were awarded with consolation prizes.
Mementoes were awarded to the winning teams by H.R Pakhroo. Besides this participation certificates were awarded to the other participants
