Fourth day of hunger strike BJP betrayed its Jammu Constituency: AIIMS CC

JAMMU: Chairman of AIIMS Coordination Committee and President Bar Association Jammu, Advocate Abhinav Sharma, members of Coordination of Committee and all those who sat on chain hunger strike on Monday launched a scathing attack on BJP and accused it of betraying the mandate that the people of Jammu Province gave to the party in Lok Sabha and the Assembly elections.
Those who sat on hunger strike on fourth day included Advocates Raghubir Singh, Umesh Sharma, Vir Ranshor, Randip Singh, Pardeep Majotra, Sorab Banotra, Sourabh Devan, Sunil Sharma, Amit Chadha, Ravinder Kumar, Amit Singh Chib, Brij Mohan, Manjeet Singh Jat, Rajan Gupta, Kamal Kishore, Randeep Singh, Srishti Pal, Ravinder Gupta, JPDA, Rajkumar, Davinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar Babbu, Tejinder Bhagat, Prof. Hari Om, Zameel Kazmi, Advocate, M.S Katoch Working President JPPF, Ashok Chaturvedi Senior Journalist, Sham Lal Bassan, Raj Kumar, Harmeet Singh, Sanjay Babloo, Ashish Kapoor, Jaspal Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Deepak Sharma, Bharat Swabhimaan, and Doordarshan Approved Drama Artist Team Members Janak Khajuria and Madan Rangeela.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman AIIMS CC, Abhinav Sharma charged the BJP with hoodwinking the struggling people of Jammu region by making contradictory statements on the issue of AIIMS. He said that it is an irony that the party let down those who gave this party a massive mandate hoping that it would end the age old discrimination with them and hand down an administration that would help them compensate for the losses they suffered under the earlier Kashmiri dominated dispensations. He asserted that no effort on the part of BJP would succeed in weakening the ongoing movement in support of AIIMS for Jammu and that the BJP is only becoming unpopular by the day it started playing Kashmiri games in Jammu.
Abhinav said Jammu region is the only region in the entire country which struggled and made sacrifices at regular intervals even for obtaining such institutions as Jammu University, Medical College, Engineering College, Dental College, Central University, Agriculture University, New Administrative Units, etc.
The speakers including K.B Jandial (Retd IAS), Dr C.L Gupta, President Shri Amar Kashtriya Rajput Sabha, Narayan Singh, President, Hotel and Lodges Association, Inderjeet Khajuria, President Oil Tankers and Pump Owners Association, Anan Sharma, President Dalit Chetna Manch and Advocate Zaffar Ahmad from Poonch also highlighted the acts of omission and commission on the part of the authorities and said that AIIMS CC is destined to achieve success in its endeavour to attain justice for Jammu.
Chairman AIIMS CC appealed to the Bar association members to assemble at Dharna site at 10:30 AM to block the Tawi Bridge on Tuesday, the 16th of June, 2015.
