AI may not replace a doctor but doctors without AI insight may be replaced in coming days: JKPS Kunjwani Principal

JAMMU: “We encounter AI frequently in our lives from voice assistant to video recommendation but in healthcare AI has become a powerful tool for doctors, making patient care faster, more accurate and personalized than ever before”. With this opening statement Prakriti Sharma from Grade XI (Medical stream) drew the attention of the audience towards a crucial topic.
“One impressive application of AI is in medical imaging and diagnosis. Imagine a computer scanning an X-ray or MRI image with incredible speed and precision, identifying tiny details that even human eye might miss. This ability is especially valuable for detecting diseases like Cancer in early stages, which can significantly improve treatment outcomes. Early detection through AI means patient can start treatment sooner, leading to better recoveries”, she added.

Adding more substance to the topic at hand, Shreya stated, “In surgical field, AI assists doctors in operation theatre – robotics aided surgeries allow AI to aid surgeons in making precise movements during delicate operations, improving outcome and reducing risk. These robots do not replace the Surgeon’s skills, it may enhance it empowering doctors to deliver even better care”.
For concluding the Assembly theme, Anjali pitched in by saying, “On a larger scale, AI is also helping to predict and prevent diseases outbreak by analyzing health data from various sources. AI can identify pattern and predict where diseases might spread. This allows healthcare providers to prepare & respond ultimately helping to save lives. AI also plays huge role in Drug discovery. Another remarkable role of AI in healthcare is its impact on drug discovery. The conventional process of developing new medication takes years and costs billions of dollars”.
Principal, Rajesh Rathore applauded the presenters of the Assembly from Grade XI Medical stream and said, “AI holds the potential to transform healthcare by enabling faster, more accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment, giving clinically powerful tools to produce brilliant outcomes”.
“AI is more than just technology, it leaps towards better health, faster recoveries and has emerged as a life saviour. AI might not replace a doctor but doctor without AI insight may be replaced in coming days. AI enabled healthcare service revolutionizes the future. Let’s embrace the possibilities it brings for a healthier world”, he summed up.
