AHA holds daylong workshop on ‘Issues in Nursing Practices’

JAMMU: Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) Jammu Chapter organised second one-day training workshop for nursing professionals on ‘Issues in Nursing Practices’ at Govt Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu on Saturday. The training workshop was inaugurated by Dr Saleem Ur Rehman, DG Family Welfare J&K & Director Health Services Jammu (Executive Director AHA Jammu Chapter), in presence of Dr Yashpal Sharma MD JKMSCL / Director Coordination New Medical Colleges Jammu (President AHA India); Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma Principal & Dean GMC & AHs Jammu and Dr Jasbir Singh, Ex Director Health Services Jammu & Ex DG Family Welfare J&K (President AHA Jammu Chapter) & Dr Ritu Gupta, Professor Physiology GMC Jammu who represented Principal & Dean GMC & AHs Jammu GMC & AHs Jammu.
In his welcome address, Dr Arun Sharma thanked Dr Yashpal Sharma, Dr Saleem Ur Rehman & Dr Jasbir Singh for starting orientation workshops for nursing professionals. He also highlighted role of AHA and how it will organize similar training workshops for the benefit of medical professionals. He also thanked Dr Nariender Butyal, Medical Superintendent Gandhi Nagar Hospital for his support.
Dr Saleem Ur Rehman highlighted role of Academy of hospital administration for boosting and enchaining knowledge and skills, which are very useful for nursing professionals working in various institutions. He also announced that the similar training will continue in entire Jammu division and 5-days training workshop for Medical Officers will be organized through AHA very soon.
Dr Yashpal Sharma highlighted the role and objective of AHA in country for reshaping and establishing various health institutions in the country besides conducting professional development courses at National Head quarters Noida and other parts of the country. He assured full support to Jammu chapter AHA for organizing such courses for nurses and medical professionals. Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma appreciated and acknowledged the working of AHA at national and regional level.
“AHA is very useful for doctors and nurses in our medical colleges and health institutions,” she said and assured that more doctors and nurses shall be deputed from GMC & AHs Jammu for such workshops.
Dr Jasbir Singh also spoke on the occasion. 55 nursing professionals participated in the workshop, belonging to Army Hospital, BSF, CRPF, POLICE Hospital, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Hospital, GMC Jammu and Associated Hospitals, Directorate of Health Services etc.
