Agri Deptt, KVK organise farmers training programme at Reasi

REASI: Department of Agriculture and Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu(SKUAST-J) organised farmers training programme on Agri-entrepreneurship development in rural areas under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture(NMSA) scheme at remote village Bakal in Bhomag Block of Reasi District. Large number of farmers of the village participated in the programme.
Mohan Lal, Sub-Division Agriculture Officer (SDAO), Reasi gave a detail view of agri-entrepreneurship, Dr.Banarsi Lal, Scientist and Head of KVK, Reasi gave the description of principles of agri-entrepreneurship. R.C Pandoh, Agriculture Extension Officer guided the farmers on the scientific cultivation of Rabi crops and emphasised on the seed treatment in Rabi crops. M.K Pandoh, Jr. Agriculture Extension Officer stressed on the commercial cultivation of pulses and oilseeds. In this training programme many quarries were raised by the farmers which KVK scientists answered in a very satisfactorily way. Success stories of some of the farmers of the area were also elaborated. KVK, Reasi also laid Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) on chickpea in the village and technical guidelines on pulses production were also provided to the farmers. In this programme Kapoor Singh, Sarpanch and progressive farmer Krishen Singh of the village were also present. The programme was concluded by Dr. Banarsi Lal, Scientist and Head with vote of thanks.
