Agenda of Alliance non-negotiable: BJP

JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday described the Agenda of Alliance, reached between PDP-BJP leadership during detailed celebrations spread over two months, as a sacred document for carrying forward the coalition.
“The government of alliance was formed of two parties who have little ideological similarities but decided to come together for the larger benefit of general public to provide good governance”, BJP State Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi in a statement to media on Sunday evening.
Sethi said that Agenda of Alliance has been honoured during nine months of the PDP-BJP Government led by Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and ‘lot of development has taken place in the state during this period’.
“The Agenda of Alliance, as such, is not negotiable for government dispensation of the alliance partners”, he said adding that provocative and misleading statements are being made by opposition parties for pity political gains but both alliance partners are experienced to see through their designs.
Sunil Sethi said, “The people have great hopes from political parties to take call on government formation as Governor’s dispensation is no substitute for politically elected government”, adding that lot of works were suffering .
“The vision of Late Mufti Sahib can be carried forward by working on Agenda of Alliance”, Seth said adding that the agenda was for a period of six years and its terms can’t be bound in time frame.
He said the whole Agenda of Alliance has to be completed within the full term of government.
