AFS Jammu organises talent hunt

JAMMU: To foster the competitive spirit and development of soft skills among students, personnel and families of Air Force Station (AFS) Jammu, a talent hunt ‘Jammu Got Talent’ was organised in two phases at the Station Auditorium, which concluded on Sunday.
The first phase covered the auditions in which a total of 206 candidates registered and competed in the finals.
The candidates were placed in three categories viz. 03-10 yrs, 11-18 yrs and 19 and above. For the second phase, a total of 12 participants in the three age categories made the final list.
The finals commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Air Officer Commanding, AFS Jammu, Air Commodore Ashutosh Lal. The finalists’ competitiveness and enthusiasm were well appreciated by the audience.
The competition was judged by professionals in the field of music, dance and theatre. The programme culminated with the prize distribution ceremony and speech by the Chief Guest. In 3 to 10 year age category Bhavik, in 11 to 18 years category Prasansha and in 19 years and above Priya Singh were adjudged as winners.
The Air Officer Commanding in his concluding address appreciated the exceptional caliber of the performers encouraging them to hone their talent and skill further. He also lauded the efforts put in by the Station Music Club to make the programme a big success.
