Adm sleeps, forest fires make life of inhabitants hell: Ravinder

Sunderbani: JKPCC Senior Vice President & Chief Spokesperson JKPCC, Ravinder Sharma has said that massive forest fires have ravaged the entire forests in Kalidhar range of Sunderbani- Akhnoor but the resultant huge smoke clouds have made life of people especially old, aged-ailing persons a hell, while administration sleeps. People of adjoining areas of forests in this range are having nightmarish experience due to layers of thick smoke in the residential localities making life difficult for all especially Ashthama & heart patients. My own house is more than two kms away from forest but I too experienced great difficulty for two days, before I left for Jammu. Sharma has asked the Chief Secretary to immediately direct emergency steps to relieve people of great hardships before saving forests from further damage. The culprits should be identified by constituting a joint special investigation team with a time bound for completion of investigation.
