ADGP Jammu visits Kathua District, inspects working of Police Stations

JAMMU: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Anand Jain, on Tuesday visited Kathua district to conduct a thorough inspection of various police establishments.
The visit was aimed at assessing the working conditions, operational efficiency, and infrastructural needs of the Police Stations in the region.
ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain was accompanied by SSP Kathua Anayat Ali Choudhary, and other Police officers of the district.
The ADGP’s inspection tour included visits to the police establishments which include Police Station Hiranagar, Police Station Rajbagh, Border Police Post Chakra, Police Post Marheen and Police Station Kathua.
During the visit, the ADGP interacted with the officers and personnel at each location, reviewing their performance and discussing various challenges faced in their respective jurisdictions.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and dedication to duty.
ADGP Jammu also assessed the living conditions and facilities provided to the Police personnel, acknowledging the importance of a conducive and secure environment for the well-being of those dedicated to ensuring public safety.
The ADGP inspected the administrative setup, reviewed ongoing cases, and discussed strategies to enhance community policing and crime prevention at Police Station Hiranagar.
He also examined the available facilities and directed the station in-charge to ensure proper maintenance of records and prompt response to public grievances. At Rajbagh, the ADGP evaluated the station’s operational readiness and interacted with the staff to understand their needs and concerns. Moreover, he examined the operation of the Woman Help Desk at Rajbagh Police station.
The ADGP’s visit to the Border Police Post Chakra included an assessment of the security measures in place to guard the international border. He lauded the efforts of the personnel in maintaining border security and encouraged them. He instructed the staff to work closely with the community to build trust and ensure a safe environment for the residents. Later, the ADGP Jammu Zone inspected the Police Station Kathua to assess the overall functioning, efficiency of it. Crime statistics were thoroughly reviewed and directed for speedy redressal of the public grievances/complaints and prompt Police action in case of any untoward incident or any kind of emergency.
He asked the officials regarding the deployment and operations in their areas of responsibility.
