ADGP Jammu flagged first Batch of #BuddhaAmarnath Ji Yatra

Jammu : Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone , Shri Mukesh Singh -IPS flagged off the first batch of 1,338 pilgrims from the Bhagwati Nagar Base camp for the Buddha Amarnath Shrine in Mandi  #Poonch district, early this morning.

         Large number of representatives from religious & social organisations were also present on the occasion which include,  Sh. Vinayakrao Deshpande, Central General Secretary, VHP,  Sh. Mukesh Khanderkar, North India General Secretary, VHP, Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Working President, Vishav Hindu Parishad – J&K and others.

        A large number of devotees were present on the occasion, who were seen chanting hymns and bhajans, making the whole environment lively.

         Speaking on the occasion ADGP Jammu said that Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra is one of the important Hindu Pilgrimage of Northern India in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. He appreciated the role of various agencies in making the Yatra successful.

        J&K Police, as well as paramilitary forces have been deployed for the safety of Yatra comprising of 907 male ,411 female  and 20 children who left in 29 vehicles for the Buddha Amarnath ji Yatra today, while various other measures have been taken for convenience of pilgrims.
