ADGP Armed felicitates medal winning fencer JKP bags silver in 26th Senior National Fencing C’ship

JAMMU: International Fencer and Sub-Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Rashid Ahmad Choudhary, bagged silver medal in 26th Senior National Fencing Championship held at Balewadi Pune in Maharashtra.
The championship was organised by All India Fencing Association from 26th to 31st of March 2016 and witnessed participation of fencers from almost all states and Union Territories of India.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, J and K, Lalatendu Mohanti, on Thursday felicitated the medal winning fencer for his outstanding performance in the senior national championship during a function held here at Armed Police Headquarters.
While appreciating the outstanding performances of the international fencer, ADGP said, “Rashid has represented the country several times in past at international and world championships and won medals for the nation.”
He said that it is his hard-work and dedication that owned him medals and fetched him prestigious State award and Sher-i-Kashmir award for being outstanding sports person.
ADGP hoped that he will continue to play to best of his potential and bring laurels not only to organisation and State but to nation as well.
Among others, the felicitation ceremony was attended by Javed Iqbal Mattoo, SSP, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed, M. Yaseen Kitchloo, SSP Vigilance Jammu, Kuldeep Handoo, FICCI award winning Coach and Sports Officer J and K Police.
