JAMMU: M.Y Kichloo, SSP, Staff Officer to ADGP Armed on Thursday congratulated J and K Police judo team who secured eight medals including two gold, four silver and two bronze in the J and K State Judo Championship held at MA Stadium, here recently.
The championship was organised by State Judo Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir State Spots Council and J and K Olympic Association.
Judo players of J&K Police who won medals were Tahir Malik and Pawan Kumar (gold), Irfan Lateef, Faisal Maqbool, Gulzar Ahmad and Pawan Singh (silver) and Yaseen Nabi and Tanveer Ahmad (bronze).
While interacting with players, Kichlo said that team spirit, coordination and understanding among the players are pivotal to get desired results in sports. He assured the players for full support from the department.
Jigmet Lhundhup, DySP Sports Officer APHQ and Junaid Wali DySP (Pers) APHQ J and K also congratulated the medal winners and their coach Ajmal Maqbool for their remarkable achievement in the arena of sports.
