Billawar: Making a fervent appeal to the people of Billawar and Basohli constituencies of Kathua district not to fall prey to the false and twisted propaganda of some vested forces, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the recent statement of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is being misinterpreted to provoke the people, which is highly condemnable. Those indulging in such gameplan will soon get a reply when the official order in this regard is issued within days.
“During her recent visit to Basohli, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had stated that a post of Additional DC (2nd) Kathua will be established to cater to the needs of the people of Billawar and Basohli as the designated official shall have sittings at both the places for three days each in a week”, Dr. Singh said and added that it would have been better had the opposition parties and the vested interests appreciated the move of the government.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the forces behind creating confusions on the issue should understand that the initiative is aimed at taking the local administration nearer to the people and it should not be politicized by any means, rather it should be treated as a step towards providing convenience to a large population living in far flung and remote areas of Billawar.
‘Being an elected representative of Billawar, it is my first and prime duty to watch the interests of the constituency and no such decision will be taken which cause any harm to even a single individual of Billawar”, said Deputy Chief Minister and assured that Billawar was, is and shall remain on top agenda of his priorities.
