Adbi Kunj releases three books

JAMMU: J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) and Adbi Kunj, J and K, a multilingual literary organisation, on Sunday released three books viz. ‘The Wilting Flower’ (a short story collection in English), ‘AakhriKhwaahish’ (a novel in Urdu) and ‘Bara’ Gat’saan Posh” (a short story collection in Kashmiri) written by well-known fiction writer Talib Kashmiri.
The function held at KL Saigall Hall, here was presided over by Prof. Zahoor-ul-Din, former Head of the Department Urdu, Jammu University while S S Anand Lehar an eminent Urdu writer and Advocate Supreme Court was the Chief Guest. Dr. Aziz Hajni, Secretary JKAACL was also present. Prominent Urdu and Kashmiri writer Aseer Kishtwari was the Guest of Honour.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Sham Talib, President Adbi Kunj.
Aseer Kishtwari read out the keynote paper on Urdu novel and Kashmiri short story book. Detailed Papers were read on all the three books by Brij Nath Betab, Ushaq Kishtwari, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina and Maharaj Krishen highlighting various literary and other aspects of the fiction work in all the three books released today.
The function concluded with vote of thanks presented by Aarsh Om Dalmotra, Chairman, Adbi Kunj. At the instance of the audience, Talib Kashmiri read a short story titled ‘Mitti Ki Qeemat’.
