Acquaint children about own religion
Shiv Kumar Padha
These days clerics from a particular community have initiated Jehad (a non ending movement) aimed at the forcible conversion of children from other communities. These Jehadis, financed by a number of NGOs operating from outside India, have taken the entire country and the states like UP, Kerala, Karnataka and other southern states under their ambit.. The news regarding Honey Trap and Love Jehad have been becoming the headlines of the national news papers as a result many parents of young girls from targeted communities feel concerned and scared about the fate, safety and chastity of their daughters in case they once fall in the trap of the miscreants. Four girls from a particular community (need not mention their names) from Kerala, who managed their safe escape from the captivity of the fundamentalists, shared their woes with wet eyes with their family members and the media. As per their experience the biggest factor responsible for love Jehad and conversion of the girls belonging to a targeted community, is due to the lack or no knowledge about the religion of the families they belonged to. The girls told that during their school and college days they had maximum of their girl friends from the communities who, availing the benefit of their ignorance about their own religion, used to pass insulting and blaspheming remarks about their gods and goddesses, their faith in worshiping animals trees and idols. Every time they (the girls of the targeted community) felt small by the deliberate and purposeful criticism of their epics and their characters by their so called fundamentalist friends. According to them, every time they (the escaped girls) tried to get clarifications, from their parents, about all what the rubbish had been told and criticized about their religion by their girl friends from other community, they were snubbed and were advised to pay their maximum attention towards their studies instead of taking interest in such meaningless issues pertaining to their religion. Disappointed from the blunt answer from their careerist parents, they began to see the reality and truth in the statements of their friends from the other missionary community. Gradually their interest and loyalty started tilting towards the religion of their friends with the result they got attracted towards the Jihadis. But soon they realized about the foul game played with them, and they managed courageously their escape from their captivity. It must be obligatory for every parent to start teaching their children about the religion, epics, customs and traditions of their religion because no religion whatsoever preach hatred, violence so that they feel proud about their own religion instead of condemning lest they should fall prey to the wicked game of the love Jehadis.
