POONCH: State Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Sub Office Rajouri organised its third programme on Tuesday at Govt Girls Hr. Sec. School Sheesh Mahal Poonch.
Dr. Alamdar Adam Cultural Officer Sub Office Rajouri in his welcome address emphasised on play/drama writings, productions, its importance in the present hi- tech and post modern society.
He said that it is unfortunate that we are forgetting our traditional art, cultural heritage and literary contribution in present society adding that in Poonch— Rajouri we are having the field of drama totally untouched and the artists got passive, whereas a lot of talent present in Rajouri/Poonch.
The programme started with a play entitled Deemak written and directed by Parvez Malik.
People of the area, students and teachers of the institution mesmerised and appreciated the artists who performed on the occasion. Raiz Mir Principal of the Institution was the Chief Guest. The programme was conducted by Haroon Rathore Lect. Urdu of the said institution. Besides drama, local folk singer Pardeep Khanna and party and other local artists also performed.
