ABVP seeks suspension of police officer

JAMMU: State unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) demanded immediate suspension of SHO Pacca Danga, Inspector Ajay Bhat for manhandling the students who were protesting peacefully at Rehari Chungi seeking cancellation of 12th Class exam.
Briefing media persons here on Sunday, ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Secretary, Deepak Gupta lambasted the police authorities for brutal lathi-charge on students. He mentioned that SHO Pacca Danga, Ajay Bhat had badly beaten the students during the protest and also misbehaved with a female student, which is completely unacceptable.
Gupta said that the JKBOSE should clear its stand on the pattern of paper. “Secretary JKBOSE, Veena Pandita sought two-day time for taking a step when she visited the protesting spot,” he added.
Gupta appealed to the students not to adopt path of violence for raising their voice.
Among others who were present include Sunny Parihar, ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretary and Sunaksh Gupta President Parade Zone ABVP.
