JAMMU: Reiterating their demand for removal of Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. R.D Sharma for his remarks in favour of terrorist Burhan Wani, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) decided to meet all the public representatives including MLAs, ministers to pressurise them for redressal of their demand.
In a press conference held at ABVP State Headquarters, ABVP State Secretary Varsha Jandial expressed deep concern over the issue of Jammu University Vice-Chancellor’s statement in favour of Burhan Wani.
“We tried to approach the Governor, N.N Vohra but it is matter of great concern that the Chancellor failed to meet them,” Varsha told reporters.
She showed her concern over the hidden agenda of the government as well as Governor which are continuously trying to save the Vice Chancellor of anti-nationalistic approach.
Avinash Sethi, State Office Secretary ABVP and Piyush Khajuria, Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretary ABVP were also present in the press conference.
