ABSMS demand release of DA, constitution of DPC

JAMMU: Akhil Bhartiya Safai Mazdoor Sang (ABSMS) urged upon the State Government to release pending 17 per cent DA of employees and should conduct Department Promotion Committee (PCC) at the earliest.

A meeting of ABSMS was held under its State President Dev Anand Gill here on Thursday. The members lambasted the previous NC-Congress Government for neglecting the genuine demands of the employees and pensioners. They said that two installments of 10 per cent and 7 per cent DA were pending and not disbursed to the employees and pensioners.

Gill urged upon the government to release pending DA of the employees and also constitute a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which is pending for the last three years.

Later, the ABSMS also discussed the arrangements of upcoming convention of Sabha to be held on 13th June at Jammu.

Others who were present in the meeting include Mangar Ram, Shanker, Hardev Amar, Moman, Yash Pal Bhagat, Ram Sheil, Balraj, Neelu, Bawa, Bagi , Anwar, Raju, Sushil Gill and Zindi.
