Absconder arrested, 15 gms heroin recovered

A notorious criminal evading arrest for a long has been nabbed by Narwal police today. STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Police on Thursday arrested an absconder who was evading arrest for the long time and has been involved in many criminal cases.
The arrested absconder has been identified as Dilbagh Singh son of Janak Singh, resident of Ward No. 4 Simbal Camp.
On specific information, a raid was conducted in Transport Nagar Narwal by Incharge Police Post Narwal, Waseem Mehraj and on seeing the police party he tried to escape from the spot. After a hectic chase he was caught by Constable Arjun Singh and Gurnaam Singh.
During search, police recovered 15 grams of heroin from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 123/16 under Section 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Trikuta Nagar. He has been involved in 8 cases prior to this one. The details of other cases include FIR No. 97/2012 under Sections 307 and 34 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu and FIR No. 98/2009 under Sections 452, 323 and 341 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 43/2014 under Section 341 and 323 RPC, FIR No. 73/2015 under Sections 307, 341, 147 and 148 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 80/2015 under Sections 307, 341 and 147 RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 07/2016 under Sections 307, 341, 323 and 34 RPC and 3/25 Arms Act, FIR No. 28/2016 under Sections 170, 449, 458, 504, 506 and 34 RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 Arms Act, and FIR No. 54/2016 under Sections 307, 341, 323, 34 RPC and 3/25 and 4/25 Arms Act at Police Station Miran Sahib. Moreover, he is a history sheeter of Police Station Miran Sahib.
The whole operation was held under the supervision of Chandan Kohli SDPO East and Shahzad Salaria SP South Jammu.
