Abduction case: Police fails to recover girl, arrest culprits
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: A 12 year-old girl was abducted on 12th November, 2014, but police failed to trace the girl and arrest the culprits. Explaining the incident, father of the girl, Mohd Abdul said that his 12 year-old daughter was kidnapped by one Younus, son of Muslam, along with eleven others all residents of village Sruinsar, Tehsil and district Jammu on 12th November, 2014.
Mohd Abdul, son of Hazi Mehndi resident of Jatwal Sangaali, Tehsil Ghagwal, district Samba, the father of the kidnapped girl told reporters that he along with his wife was away to see one of his relative when a group of goons attacked his residence and kidnapped his minor daughter after thrashing and tying his sons who tried to rescue their sister.
He immediately rushed to Police Station Ghagwal and lodged a complaint regarding abduction of his daughter by Younus son of Muslam and others explaining how mercilessly they thrashed his daughter and sons and finally took away the girl after tying his sons. The SHO Ghagwal, even after hearing the details of heinous crime, took no cognisance of the case and did not register FIR apparently because he was already taken into confidence, told father of the girl.
He then approached the Court of Law where the Chief Judicial Magistrate Samba issued directions to the SHO Ghagwal under Section 156 (3) Cr PC to register FIR against the accused persons for offence under section 147, 323, 455, 457, 363,376/34 and 120-B RPC on 20th November, 2014, he said.
On the basis of Court directions dated 20th November, 2014 the SHO Ghagwal registered a case FIR 75/14 under section 457/363/109/147 RPC ignoring section 323, 455,376, 34 and 120-B RPC for the reasons best known to him, the aggrieved father said. He further said that in spite of naming the kidnapper giving his full address, the police neither arrested the criminals nor recovered the girl. He feared that his daughter has been eliminated by the kidnappers after criminal assaults.
He appealed to the Chief Minister, DG Police, IGP Jammu and DIG Jammu-Kathua Range to rescue his minor daughter from the hands of these criminals and they be prosecuted under relevant clauses of the criminal law.
