Abducted minor girl recovered from reputed Jammu hotel; PSI, property dealer arrested

JAMMU: Bagh-e- Bahu Police on Wednesday recovered an abducted minor girl during a raid on a prominent hotel in the City and arrested a Probationer Sub Inspector (PSI) and his friend, a property dealer.
FIR has been registered against both the abductors under Protection of Children from of Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and for kidnapping the minor.
The minor girl has been handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). The investigation of this case is being personally monitored by SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
According to FIR, a family living in Raika area lodged a complaint with Bagh-e -Bahu Police that their minor girl had gone missing under suspicious circumstances.
SHO Bagh-e -Bahu Inspector Aarti Thakur immediately constituted teams and started investigations. On a specific information, she raided some hotels in the City. However, the police team succeeded in tracing the minor girl from a reputed hotel in the evening.
Probationer Sub Inspector (PSI) Sardar Ali, posted at Ramban and his friend Muzaffar alias Kaka, resident of Bajalta, a property dealer, were also found in the same room during the raid. Both the accused kidnappers were brought to police station and arrested. Police said, the age test of the minor will be conducted.
Accused PSI’s wife is a member of District Development Board (DDC), while his father is BDC member. The minor girl’s family has leveled serious charges of conspiracy by the family members of PSI Sardar Ali and accomplice Muzaffar alias Kaka.
