CHANDIGARH: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Monday said that the AAP government in Punjab has cheated the farmers by not taking care of them.
In a statement, Chugh said as soon as the Bhagwant Mann government came to power it made a series of promises.
“But today the entire farming community in the state is so disappointed and disillusioned “, he said.
Chugh said though the Modi government has been providing all kind of assistance to farmers but the AAP government had failed dismally to improve their plight.
He said the Bhagwant Mann government promised to waive farmers’ loans but nothing has happened.
“It is only a poster government, which is more into publicity and reflecting deceptive figures to mislead the people”, said Chugh adding that the AAP government is only concerned about publicity while on the ground all sections of society are disappointed with its performance.
