JAMMU: Founder and National Council Member Aam Aadmi Party Deep Singh on Sunday said that to complete the preliminary organisational work soon an exercise will be initiated in state for nominating the party’s village level, Panchayat level, block level and district level adhoc committees.

He was addressing a party workers meeting convened to apprise them about the outcome of the recently held National Council meeting of Aam Aadmi Party at New Delhi with regard to much awaited party expansion exercise in various states of country including J and K.

Various speakers dwelt at length about the performance of present PDP-BJP coalition government during their past about three month’ tenure. They also took notice of the central government’s attempt to run Delhi administration through remote control in the guise of Lieutenant Governor with the sole objective to create impediments in the smooth working of Delhi government.

The meeting denounced the elements in the state and central governments who were trying to vitiate peaceful environment in the state by raising and igniting regional and communal sentiments of the people in the name of AIIMS, Artificial Tawi Lake for Jammu, etc. “It would be in the fairness of situation if the decisions related to the proposed central projects are taken at the central level itself by identifying the feasible sites on merits within three regions to avoid controversies and politicisation”, meeting maintained.

The meeting also assailed the abandoning the construction of Artificial Lake over river Tawi at Jammu. The meeting urged upon the government to hold a detailed and time bound enquiry into this episode or issue a white paper so that truth comes to fore as to who changed the site of the Lake that lead to abandoning of the whole project which could have become sole attraction for Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims and a big source of consolation to the Jammuites during hot summer days. “The original site of the Lake was near DC office”, the meeting informed.

The meeting authorised Deep Singh to hold parlays with central AAP leadership for giving practical shape to the expansion programme of the Party in the State.

Dr. G.S Charak, Udhey Chand, Ram Singh Chauhan, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Anil Gaind, Gurtaj Singh, Ram Paul Khajuria, Naresh Kesar, Prof. O.P Rao and Behari Lal Bhagat also spoke on the occasion.
