Dear Editor,
The recent attack on Indian Army convey in Manipur claiming lives of 18 jawans could be the highest in number of casualties but the way Union Government reacted to the incident is a welcome change, which nobody had foreseen. Earlier, in Jammu and Kashmir, Pak-army supported militants ambushed a forward army post and took away the head of a soldier. The incident happened during the Congress-headed UPA regime and the Govt confined to condemnations and did nothing on the ground. Army was kept in dark and there was no clear cut direction resulting into humiliation. The recent Indian reaction would no doubt will solve the issue of insurgency but it is sure to work as a deterrent, which I believe every Indian would be proud of.
