A grand celebration- inauguration of Annual Swimming Pool event at JKPS Kunjwani

JAMMU: With great enthusiasm and a spirit of togetherness, JK Public School (JKPS) Kunjwani had its annual inauguration of the swimming pool, a cherished tradition that beautifully blends culture, community and youthful vibrance.

The day’s festivities began with the gracious welcome of the Chairman Raj Daluja whose continuous enduring support and guidance continue to steer the institution towards excellence.
In a special gesture celebrating the invaluable role of parents, the chief guest was chosen from among the attending guardians, strengthening the cherished bond between school and home. Dr Narlep, a proud parent, was chosen as the Chief guest and she was presented with a bouquet.
Among the dignitaries present were Gautam Daluja and Sara Daluja, Members of Management; Shashi Choudhary, Director JK Educational Society; Principal Rajesh Rathore; Vice Principal Roopinder Kour; School Coordinator Inderjeet Kour; Academic Coordinator Parvinder Kour; Primary Wing Coordinator Anju Kohli; Toddlers’ World Coordinator Shivangini Pangotra, and parents.
The ceremony proceeded with the felicitation of the guests honouring their presence with heartfelt gratitude. The air resonated with the uplifting School Song, a melodic tribute to shared values.
It was followed by a warm welcome address by the Principal Rajesh Rathore who set the tone for the celebration ahead. He said, “It fills my heart with immense pride and joy to welcome you all to the annual inauguration of our school’s swimming pool – an occasion that goes beyond a sporting tradition, embracing community spirit, culture, and the boundless energy of our young learners”.
“Today, as we gather around this vital facility, we reaffirm our commitment to holistic education: one that nurtures life skills, resilience, and confidence alongside academics. Swimming, after all, is not merely a sport; it is a life-saving skill, and we at JKPS Kunjwani are proud to take pioneering strides in ensuring every child is equipped with this essential ability”, he added.
To mark the beginning on a sacred note, the traditional Pooja of the swimming pool was conducted invoking divine blessings for safety, strength and success. The momentum built as a young athletes took the field for the March Past, proudly representing their houses and introducing themselves with poise and discipline.
A moment of pure joy unfolded with the swimming event by adorable toddlers, their spirited splashes igniting smiles across the audience. This was followed by a semi classical dance performance, a graceful invocation seeking the blessings of the Almighty.
The pool then bore witness to the prowess of the swimmers who displayed a series of spirited events with the spirit of sportsmanship and determination that is nurtured here at school.
As the ceremony came to a close, Vice Principal Roopinder Kaur delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks extending appreciation to all the parents, guests and staff whose efforts and presence had made the day a grand success.
The event concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the National Anthem, uniting every heart in a moment of reflection and pride.
