AKHNOOR: The Director Finance, Higher Education Department, Abdul Majeed Bhat along with his team comprising of Assistant Director Planning Fayaz Ahmed, Accounts Officer HED, M.Hussain Tantray and AEE RUSA visited GDC Akhnoor. The Principal of the College Dr. Namarta and other faculty members accorded a warm welcome to the team.
The Principal apprised the team about the various developmental projects going on in the College campus.
The Director Finance along with his team also visited the site of the projects and directed the executing agency and contractor to speed up the work and complete the projects in stipulated period of time
The Director Finance, Higher Education department stressed upon importance of quality education and integration of new education policy parameters with stress on digital learning, creative thinking and employment friendly curriculum reforms. The team also inspected the record of the college viz. Cash books, mode of purchasing of various items, bills etc. and issued necessary instructions accordingly for better maintenance of financial record. The Director Finance also assured that the abandoned project of construction of OBC/SC Girls Hostel will be put under Languishing in the next financial year.
He also assured that the other new projects will be included in the next financial year under Capex Budget. At last, the Principal of the College, Dr. Namarta thanked the inspection team for the visit to the College and giving support and guidance for better growth and development of the College.
