JAMMU: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu flagged off environment study tour here on Sunday.
DDC Rajouri, Jatinera Kumar Singh was also present on the occasion.
The tour was organised by NGO National Development Foundation Jammu and about 130 youth are participated in this three days tour.
Chief Functionary NDF Rajiv Khajuria while giving the details said that in view of recent flash floods and environment degradation NDF has taken the indicative to educate the youth about environmental issues.
He said that during this tour youth will be made aware about how to conserve Himalayan eco-systems without compromising with the livelihoods of the people residing there.
Sahu in his address lauded the role of NDF for taking such initiatives.
Participants include the students of GDC Akhnoor and other HDF volunteers them Jammu prominent among others present including Dr. Asha Gupta Principal, GDC, Prof. Raj Kumar, Prof. D.N Sharma, Shakuntla Khajuria, Arti Sharma, Poonam Sharma, Samita Sharma and Virender Mishra Medical Incharge.
