Patwari in Vigilance net
JAMMU: Vigilance Organisation on Saturday laid a trap and caught a Patwari red handed while accepting bribe from a resident of Samba village for entering mutation of land. He was arrested and FIR25/14 under section 5(1) (d) J&K P.C Act 2006 & 161 RPC registered against him.
According to the SVO, a complaint was filed by one Krishan Chand, resident of village Bakhana Chak, Samba in Vigilance Organisation, Jammu alleging that Vipin Kumar, Patwari Halqa Durai, Samba has demanded Rs. 60,000 as bribe from him for entering mutation of two and a half Marlas of land at village Mananu located at Nud-Mansar Road. However, later on, he agreed to take Rs.40,000 in two installations, the complainant said.
On Thursday, Vipan Kumar, Patwari Halqa Durai was caught red handed while accepting Rs. 20,000 as 1st installment as bribe. The raid was conducted under the supervision SSP Nisha Natyal by a team headed by Dy SP Zulfqar Ahmad and Inspector Rajesh Kumar.
