It is laughable for Bilawal Bhutto, son of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and chief of the Pakistan Peoples Party, to say that he shall take back all of Kashmir for Pakistan. Most Pakistani politicians don’t talk about serious matters like the development of their people. They feel that they can win votes by playing up the Kashmir issue.
Bhutto’s grandfather had once said that Pakistan will fight for a thousand years for Kashmir. It seems he knew that Pakistan could never secure all of Kashmir as it doesn’t belong to it. Benazir Bhutto was mature and had a vision for a better Pakistan – she believed in democracy.
The problem is that her son is forgetting her legacy. For us in India, Kashmir (including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) is an integral part of the country. Kashmir is not a problem or a bone of contention except for that part which is occupied by Pakistan. India needs a leader like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel to think and act on Kashmir.
