REASI: Restoration and rehabilitation work is going on in full swing in the district, this was disclosed by the District Development Commissioner Reasi Shabir Ahmad Bhat, in a meeting to review the status of restoration works and preparation of final report of damages to public utilities by different departments in a meeting at Reasi.
The meeting was attended by CPO Reasi G.L Sharma, ACD Reasi Joginder Singh Rai, Tehsildar (hq) Rajesh Baru, XEn PDD, PWD, PMGSY and other officers. The meeting was told that the temporary restoration works have been taken up to restore roads, water supply, electricity and other services in the affected areas of the region.
It was informed in the meeting that the damage reports prepared by each department would be verified by the District Development Commissioner for the final submission to the government.
The meeting discussed in detail the scale of damages presented by the Departments like PWD (R&B), PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control, Health, Education and other departments.”Restoration of all major roads, bridges, water supply and power supply should be taken up with urgency,” added DDC. He also received appraisal of the rehabilitation measures started in various areas. He said that the process be further intensified.
