DDC appreciates NGOs for help in rehabilitation
RAJOURI: DDC Rajouri on Saturday appreciated the role of NGOs and other agencies who were coming forward for the help of the affected ones. He said that the district administration is carrying out this relief operation with Govt help in collaboration with relief material being received via NGO’s and other agencies.
The relief material being received from Thakur Dawara Trust,New Delhi includes quilts 25,biscuits 23 boxes, ready to eat material 100 boxes ,napkins 1 box, salt 64 gunny bags ,tarpaulin (plastic ) 79 bundles, kits( containing rice pulses ,bed sheets, blankets, towel etc), 2001,milk powder 60 gunny bags ,rice 68 gunny bags while M/S CTM KATHUA sent relief material which includes about 2,000 blankets and 3,000 Mineral water bottles. Moreover 937 bags of food items have been received through Relief Commissioner Jammu and Indian Red Cross Society, J and K Jammu has sent about 100 family kits(tarpaulin, bed, sheets, kitchen items),plastic buckets 100 and tarpaulin 50, DDC said.
All this relief material is in process of distribution in different affected areas of district Rajouri with rehabilitation camps on priority, DC said’. Meanwhile , an order for manufacturing of 500 tents has already been placed , he added’.
Even to keep a cross check over the distribution process and assessment of damage. A flying squad consisting of ADDC Rajouri Veer Hangloo , ACR Rajouri ,Tehsildar Sunderbani visited Pajwal, Kalideh, Laman village Basseiya and other areas of Sunderbani.
