JAMMU: A delegation of Baba Amarnath and Budha Amarnath (BABA) Yatri Nyas on Sunday met Dr Jitendra Singh MOS PMO to apprise him about the levy being charged from the trucks carrying Langar material at Toll Plaza Lakhanpur.
The delegation led by President BABA Nyas, Surinder Mohan Aggarwal expressed resentment against the State Government for charging tax from Langar organisers.
Jitendra immediately intervened in the matter and approached the concerned department and as a consequence, the vehicles carrying Langar material were given green flag and assured that there will be no such problem in future.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the Union Minister for this endeavour.
The delegation comprised of Karan Singh Charak General Secretary BABA Yatri Nyas, Sudarshan Khajuria General Secretary, Shakti Dutt Sharma Organising Secretary, Deepak Sharma Secretary and Mahant Rohit Shastri.
It may be mentioned here that annual Amarnath yatra is starting this year on 2nd July and will conclude on 29th August.
