Govt failed to take up development works: Bhalla
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Former Minister and Vice President JK PCC, Raman Bhalla expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of roads, lanes and drains, shortage of drinking water and prolong cuts in the power supply to Jammu City and its surrounding areas and urged upon the government to give priority to solve the problems being faced by the people.
While addressing public meeting at Bathindi here on Friday, Bhalla said that the State Government has miserably failed to take up the development works in Jammu City and its surrounding areas as the condition of roads, lanes and drains has gone bad to worst. The unscheduled power cuts and shortage of drinking water adds more to the miseries of people, he added. He said that no development work has taken place for the past several months by any of the government department, and the general public is facing great hardships for want of civic facilities. He also drew the attention of the local MLAs of Jammu towards these problems of people.
He emphasised that instead of solving people’s problems the certain elements in the government are busy to vitiate the atmosphere of peace and harmony in the State especially in Jammu through their nefarious designs but the Congress Party will not allow such forces to succeed.
General Secretary PCC, Shah Mohammad Choudhary lashed out at State PDP-BJP Coalition Government for its designs of dividing people on the line of region and religion. He said that whatever decision is taken by the State Government smells biased and divide the people on region and religion line which is harmful for the society and also not good for the State Government. He asked the people to strengthen the Congress Party, as it is the only secular and unifying force capable to maintain unity and integrity of the State and the nation.
