JAMMU: KC Gurukul concluded the summer camp ‘Beat the Heat’ which started on 3rd July, 2015 and reached its valedictory function with colourful and blissful closing ceremony, on Monday in its school premises.

The students of the age group 3 to 12 years were trained with the activities like martial arts, Yoga, dance, music, skates, art and craft, public speaking, theater acts, clay modeling, swimming,  instrumental music, cooking classes etc.

Apart from the activities the students were taught basic etiquettes and table manners. Water games activities were also organised in the camp for beating the heat.

A mesmerising cultural programme was presented by the students where they displayed their talents in the music, dance, martial arts, yoga and theater acts etc in front of the fellow students and parents.

Sanjita Mahajan, was the Chief Guest on the occasion and she appreciated the participation of the students and said that these camps will help students develop different skills in the field of games and sports and as such are the need of the hour for their character building. The Chairman of the School, Arvind Mahajan congratulated students and teachers on the successful completion of the camp.

The Academic Director Vijay Puri, cherished the efforts and presentation of the campers and the staff. An exhibition of all art work done by the students along with a video performance of students was also displayed which was highly appreciated by the parents and the guests.
