Deeply involved in acts of violence and terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has gone real Gandhian by courting arrest against, what they say, RSS agenda being implemented by the State Government to ‘penalise’ Muslims of Kashmir and Jammu for being Muslims. Chanting pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans, the activists pledged never to allow anybody ‘to change the demography and special status of Jammu and Kashmir’.
Is it a matter of pride or shame for the successive governments at the Centre and in the State to bestow legitimacy to a banned organisation by taking into custody its activists instead of languishing them in jails for their most heinous crimes against the civilized society since early 1990 when they laid the foundation of alien gun culture in Kashmir?
