MAHORE: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing nine bovines and arresting the smuggler.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Mahore that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with nine bovines and reached near Barmidhar Tehsil Mahore.
On this, a police team from Police Post Dewal under SHO Police Station Mahore, SDPO Mahore, Addl.SP Reasi and overall supervision of SSP Reasi rushed to the spot and rescued nine bovines. One bovine smuggler namely Fareed Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Kotli Tehsil Chassana, District Reasi was arrested.
A case under FIR No. 48/2015 section 188 RPC was registered at Police Station Mahore.
