UCMAS Abacus organises 5th State Level Competition

JAMMU: UCMAS Abacus, a Malaysia based organization pioneering in abacus based brain development program conducted ‘Battle of Brain’ Fifth J and K State Level Ucmas Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition 2015, here on Sunday.

In all, 500 students pursuing Ucmas course participated in different Batches in the competition which was conducted in eight levels where 200 questions of Arithmetic were asked and children were given a time of mere 8 minutes to complete the paper.

Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore was Chief Guest while senior BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi was Guest of Honour on the occasion.

Jugal said “I am amazed to see how these small kids are able to perform 200 calculations within a very small period of time. This programme is really has very strong foundation and as it makes math’s very easy for kids-every student should take benefit of this UCMAs abacus program”.

Yudhvir appreciated the effort done by UCMAS for making the parents and students aware about the benefits of Abacus education.

He also emphasised the UCMAS being an international organization gives wide exposure to students by conducting State level competition every year and this year they are going to take student for international competition.

The event was supported by franchise of different Ucmas Center Anita Bhan, Jyoti Kohli, Arti Chopra, Samant Chopra, Rashmi Aggarwal, Laxmi Gupta, Rita Sharma, Monika Sharma, Sonia Rekhi, Baljeet Kour, Shilpee Gupta, Ritika Gupta, Arun Gupta, Manmohan Singh and course instructor of Ucmas of different centers viz Rita Sharma, Kalpana Jain, Rohini Gupta, Anjana Puri, Bandana, Monika, Salika Sharma, Neelam, Vandana, Sakshi Chouhan, Rashmi, Gurmeet, Arti Khajuria, Princi Jain, Monika and Harvinder Rana.

Rupesh and Sonia Masson, Director UCMAS J and K presented the vote of thanks and said, “In the current times of fierce race to success it has become a must to bring out the best of the children. This yearly competition act as a motivating factor and helps students of 5-13 years achieve the purpose.”
