SRINAGAR: Minister for Horticulture, Raman Bhalla on Wednesday said that men and machinery of Horticulture department has started its working and all Fruit Mandis have been made functional besides transportation services have also been resumed to carry fruit to the outside Mandis. He said Fruit Industry has suffered huge losses in the Flood.
Bhalla said concerned authorities have been directed for immediate assessment of the loss caused by the flood so that affected people are given adequate relief at the earliest.
The minister further said farmers can now send their Fruit to the outside Mandis for which special arrangements including marketing facilities have been made at the Mandis in Delhi and other states.
