JAMMU: Implementing the warrants of Court in cheque bounce to the tune of Rs 9.5 crores, on Tuesday Channi-Himmat Police arrested R.K Sharma, Managing Director of M/S Ishan Developers and Infrastructure Ltd who was not appearing in a case under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act (cheque bounce case) filed against him in the court of Special Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu on 12th September, 2014.
R.K Sharma, who issued two cheques amounting to Rs 5 crores each and one cheques amounting to Rs 4.50 crores issued were dishonoured by bank authorities for not having money in his account.
The Court has issued non-bailable warrant against the accused and next date of hearing has been fixed on 9th October, 2014. JNF
