Jodhamal wins U-19 boys’ football title
JAMMU: Jodhamal School clinched the coveted under-19 boys’ inter-school competitions of Jammu District, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at GGM Science College Ground, here on Monday.
In the final, Jodhamal boys trounced equally good MHAC Nagbani School 4-3 via tie breaker. Earlier, in the semifinals, played in the morning session, Jodhamal defeated Army Public School (APS) Domana by a solitary goal. Ali Afridi scored the lone goal in the 18th minute of the game.
In another semifinal of the day, MHAC Nagbani registered a 1-0 win against fighting Dewan Badari Nath (DBN) School. Shivam Magotra netted the ball for all important goal in the 37th minute.
Today’s final and semifinals were officiated by the technical penal including Bharat Bhushan, Ajay Kumar, Rohit, Vishal, Joginder Kumar and Ravinder.
Meanwhile, in another event of Rifle Shooting in under-19 group, held at Delhi Public School (DPS) School, here on Monday, Sangram Singh of DPS bagged gold.
Second place went to Abhay Gupta of DPS while Namandeep Singh of KC Public remained third.
