Improper flash flood survey leads to protest
R S PURA: Senior BJP leader Dr. Gagan Bhagat along with several villagers alleged biased approach of the State administration in the ongoing survey for flash flood.
Dr. Gagan Bhagat while taking to the media said that the residents of R.S Pura Constituency are dissatisfied with the survey report submitted by the officials of Revenue Department as the names of many persons residing in different villages of R.S Pura Constituency have not been included intentionally as the officials of the Revenue Department while assessing the damages. He further said that the Revenue Officials were accompanied by the local Sarpanchs and Panchs who are affiliated with different political parties. Despite giving relief to the villagers, as provided by the Union Government, the Revenue Department has been conducting the flash flood survey in a very partial way, he added.
He sought immediately intervention into the matter and asked the concerned department to also include the left out houses in the villages of R.S Pura constituency and warned of a big protest against the State government will be launched within few days.
Prominent persons who were present include Brijesh Rana, S. Harbhajann Singh Pammi, Inder Sudan, Omparkash Advani and Shiv Bali.
