JAMMU: Vijay Football Club and Jammu United FC on Thursday sailed into the semifinals of the ongoing 14th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association at GGM Science College ground, here.
Earlier, in first quater-final match played on Thursday, Vijay Club FC beat Prem Nath Dogra FC by 5-4 via Tie-Breaker as the match ended with goalless draw. For Vijay Club, Shivam, Satyam, Rohit, Dushant and Harmanjeet Singh scored one goals each while for Pt. Prem Nath Dogra FC the goals were scored by Rajbir, Govind, Azad and Manjot.
In second quarter-final, Jammu United FC outplayed Sainik Colony FC by 4-3 via Tie-Breaker and the match ended 1-1 draw.
Yellow Card shown to Bishabjeet, Abhishek, Rohit, Sumit of Jammu United and Ketan of Sainik Colony FC while Red Card shown to Parveen.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including
Rajinder Singh, Mohit, Ajay Lakha, Akriti and Mohinder Kalsi.
Narinder Gupta (Former Member Sports Council), Yousaf Don (Organizing Secretary), David Masih, Featus Sotra (General Secretary), Mohan Lal, Amarjeet Singh, Joel Bunty, Kamaljeet, Raju Khokhar and Rajesh Sumbria were present as special guests.
