ADC Pulwama inaugurates J&K Sports Council Premier League

PULWAMA: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulwama, Altaf Ahmad Khan on Thursday inaugurated J&K Sports Council Premier League in colloboration with Sports Association in the discipline of Volleyball, Hockey, kabaddi and Football in the sports field, here.
Others prominent persons present were Manager, J&K Sports Council Pulwama, Bashir Ahmad and District Officer Youth Services and Sports Officer Pulwama, Noor-ul-Haq.
Altaf Ahmad, who was the chief guest on the opening day of league, underlined the importance of holding such sports leagues for overall development of youth which can prove an asset for JKSC. In the opening day, three volleyball matches were played at Sports Stadium Pulwama. The Results: Mahi Electronics Club beat MS Pall Club by 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-23); Coffee Day Volleyball Club beat Baba Garments Volleyball Club by 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-20); Dar Traders Volleyball Club beat Khush Naseeb Volleyball Club by score (25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13).
A large number of Volleyball fans were present in the stadium and hailed the initiative of Sports Council for organising the event.
